Poem (4) - A little bit of Envy
~A little bit of Envy~
A little green splashing my vision
An emotion I wish that had never arisen
Trying to block the hole with my finger
Finding the current to strong for me to l i n g e r
As I sit here with my head in my hands
Pushing back the lake that is filling my land
Knowing that my poor attempt at shoring
Isn’t strong enough to stop the constant pouring
It never occurred to me it was so strong
As now it is pushing me forward headlong
Please forgive any sudden outburst of h a t e
They were never meant to leave my mental plate
It’s nothing against you and as far as I can tell
The possessiveness just came strait from hell
Not by choice did it travel from there as seen
But blindly slipped in through a hole in the seam
Give me a minute to quell what is showing up
There has to be away to stop it rather abrupt
This isn’t how I’m suppose to be living
That’s got me down right to the end, I’m quitting.
