Poem (15) - Stray

Um...Old. Found it on a thingy I use to post stuff on. Rather random and written around 1 in the morning if my old notes are correct. *shrug*

~Stray~

Lost in thought
wandering around
taking a look back
and then staring
toward the ground

first a step here
then a skip there
running in circles
startled like a deer

motions caught up
in a mix of emotion
pain slowly filtered
until the sky grows
and earth blinks

take a look around
then drink deep
of the sight
of the sound
of the feeling

know this before
never look back
hair difting behind
eyes wide and flat
mind on the run
and the sun...does come...
