Poem (16) - Kaleidoscope
~Kaleidoscope~
My mind drifts in and out
Wandering all about
Casting off into far lands
Fishing for some lilly pads
Watching the moon wane
As the night fades away
Keeping my thoughts apart
Listening to the mellow bark
As the breeze blows quietly
Along the distant silver streams
Happening so peacefully
Giggling dew sounds carefree
While the storm whispers past
Not allowing chilly blasts
To tip my play-worn home
Trees with happy leaves
Tickling the fuzzy bees
While they pass along
Singing their honey songs
Round little bubbles zip fast
Catching the light while it lasts
Found by the resting pond
With all it's ripples gone
Poking fun at the wind
Trying to make it spin
Around the lifeless ribbon
Found among the pebble-ridden
Foaming shades of gray
Running fingers through rays
Of the soft summer plays
Breathing in cloud-filled air
Brushing off knitted hairs
From the willow's tears
Amused by window panes
Made up of sugar stains
Tie-dyed sky swelling up
Spilling out it's overfilled cup
Washing all the world away
Back into the night of day
